SICK CSM

The SICK CSM is a short-range color sensor that can detect up to eight configured colors. The default working range is 11mm to 19mm. The Q1 and Q2 digital outputs provide the first two color match results. The ProcessData output provides all eight color match results as a 16-bit IO-Link value, using bits 0 through 7.

Properties

  • Origin: The local origin of the sensor beam.
  • Direction: The local direction of the sensor beam.
  • Minimum Range: The minimum usable sensing distance.
  • Maximum Range: The maximum usable sensing distance.
  • Colors: Up to eight programmed colors.
  • Sensitivities: The sensitivity used for each programmed color.
  • Object: The detected entity, or null when no programmed color matches.
  • Value: The current 16-bit process data value.
  • Blocked: The material applied to the indicator while at least one output is active.
  • Cleared: The material applied to the indicator while no output is active.
  • Indicator: The entity whose graphics material is used to visually indicate the sensor state.

IO

The component has the following IO:

  • Q1: (Output) Whether the detected color matches programmed color 1.
  • Q2: (Output) Whether the detected color matches programmed color 2.
  • ProcessData: (Output) The packed IO-Link color match signals. Bits 0 through 7 correspond to QL1 through QL8, while bits 8 through 15 are unused and remain zero.
