What are ProtoTwin Packages?

ProtoTwin packages are reusable collections of scripts that enhance the capabilities of the software. These packages can introduce new functionality by making additional components, tools and other types available to the user in the simulation environment.

How do I install a package?

Packages can be installed from inside the script editor in ProtoTwin. Public packages are installable by all users. Private packages can only be installed by members of the organization under which the package was published. Any components or tools exported by the installed package are immediately usable from inside the simulation environment.

How do I create my own packages?

You can create and publish your own packages from directly inside the script editor in ProtoTwin. Packages are private by default and installable by only other members within your organization. You must be the manager or member of an organization to publish packages.

How do I create an organization?

You can create an organization by filling out the required information. After approval, you will become the manager of the created organization. This will allow you to publish packages under the organization. You can also invite users to join the organization, as members. Members of the organization may also be permitted to publish packages under the organization.

How do I join an organization?

To join an organization as a member, you must ask the manager of the organization to invite you to the organization. Once invited, you should receive a verification email. You can then click the link in the email to join the organization. Alternatively, if you have received an invitation code you can enter the invitation code to join the organization.

How do I invite a user to my organization?

You must be the manager of an organization in order to invite a user to join the organization as a member. To invite a user, navigate to the organizations page and click the button to the side to view the organization.
